Jost Chemical Co. was founded in 1985 by Jerry L. Jost. Previously, Jerry had worked as a chemical engineer for several companies in various manufacturing roles.
Like most start-up companies, Jost underwent difficult times during the first few years. The company’s ability to overcome initial obstacles and to achieve its current success can be attributed, in part, to Jerry’s early decision to employ experienced chemical industry experts.
